The Royal Hospital Chelsea will again play host to Salon Privé London, the ultimate luxury car event, at the Royal Hospital Chelsea, 20-22 April.
First held last year, as a sister event to the Blenheim extravaganza annually at the end of August, visitors can join the world of luxury cars – historic and modern – and enjoy the exciting lifestyle that goes with this exclusive set.
At the heart of the Salon is the ‘Concours de Vente’ – a carefully curated selection of 60 rare historic automobiles, which are all for sale. From stately Rolls-Royces from the 20s, to iconic racing Ferraris of the 50s, this is a collection of the most collectable motoring marques in a unique display of power and passion.
Encircling the concours, you’ll find the leading international luxury car manufacturers, displaying their latest models, many choosing this special location to ‘reveal’ new cars for the first time to the international media and motoring public. The organisers point out that Salon Privé London is much more than just a car show. Visitors will enjoy the full luxury experience with spectacular cars, gourmet hospitality, exciting bars, luxury shopping, and live entertainment – a truly unforgettable day out. Sloane Square is the nearest Tube station.
A future date for the diary is the Heveningham Concours 8 & 9 July at the majestic Heveningham Hall in Suffolk, marking the debut event for the UK’s unofficial ‘Car Week’, concluding the following weekend at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Confirmed as the Concours theme is the 24 Hours of Le Mans’ centenary with the first ‘GT1-004’, an ex-Works Porsche 911 GT1 Evo, alongside the famed, ex-FIA GT World Champion CLK LM Mercedes-Benz. Dynamic Horsepower Hill also returns, attracting a wide array of classic and contemporary supercars to the timed 1/8 mile drag race. An aviation display includes Spitfires MH415 & MH434 celebrating their 80th birthdays.
