Security officers at Heathrow airport will take part in eight days of strike action in May that will coincide with the Coronation Bank Holiday weekend and school half-term.
The Unite union, organising the walkout, said it will cause “inevitable disruption and delays at the airport,” disputed by the airport which was subjected to similar action over Easter.
The strike dates are Thursday 4 May until Saturday 6 May, Tuesday 9 May and Wednesday 10 May, Thursday 25 May to Saturday 27 May.
Heathrow said: “Passengers can expect to travel as normal during the Coronation and half-term peaks, regardless of further unnecessary strike action by Unite.”
This fresh round of action follows the ten-day strike that disrupted travel over Easter.
