Trains are every 2−3 minutes from Whitechapel to Paddington.
The Elizabeth Line is now fully operational through central London from Reading to Shenfield or Abbey Wood in the east and also Heathrow Airport (LHR).
However, Canary Wharf has no direct services to LHR, Europe’s major business airport, and for London City Airport (LCY) on the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) you have to change at Poplar. There is a one-train service between ExCeL and LHR T2, T3 & T4.
At Heathrow Central (T2 & T3) there are three trains per hour to T4 and two hourly to T5. However, this is a completely different station to the Underground, and changing train systems is not recommended. To make matters worse the Tube only runs one way from T4 to the Central Area. To get to T4 from the middle, one has to go to Hatton Cross and pick up a T4 train from central London.
Journey times can be as little as 24 minutes from Paddington to Terminals 2 & 3 and 29 minutes to Terminal 5. The Elizabeth Line is far more comfortable (and reliable) than the alternative Piccadilly Line from Central London, which has many stops and can take up to one hour. Fares differ but on average the Tube is £6 single, Elizabeth Line £12 and the Heathrow Express £25, plus the cost to/from Paddington. All services offer discounts.
As TNU (and BTN in its previous incarnation) has said many times, under Mayor Johnson, LCY does not have an Elizabeth Line station (or even an electric bus from Custom House/ExCeL). This can still be rectified.

I agree with you, there should be a station there. The new line is great, it will really help me when visiting Essex. This is an example of public transit that works, as opposed to the Silver Line extention to Dulles airport, where it takes more time to get the train from the other side of Washington than it takes to drive, even in the rush hour.
