Gatwick’s major long-haul airline Norse Atlantic is to delay its new routes to the Caribbean. The airline operates the former Norwegian’s long-haul Boeing 787 Dreamliner fleet with a similar cabin service (see www.btnews.co.uk/article/10561)
It is planning three routes to the popular sunshine islands that will make the most of its aircraft during the quieter winter months when leisure passengers are less keen on visiting the much colder US East Coast cities.
Forward bookings suggest it makes more sense to introduce the new services from 1 December rather than the last week of October.
The new schedules
Barbados – daily
Montego Bay (Jamaica) – four flights per week
The three flights per week service to Kingston (Jamaica) has been dropped.
As well as the Caribbean routes, the following will continue to operate during the winter but (in some cases) with reduced frequencies:
