The very popular Aspire lounge in the main Luton Airport airside area is in for a change of identity. It will close before Christmas.
Since the pandemic it has been the only executive lounge at the airport, the then new Clubrooms lounge closed with the Covid outbreak, and never re-opened.
Airport Dimensions, a Collinson company, which claims to be a global leader in developing airport lounges and travel experiences, is working with its joint venture partner Swissport to have open two lounges at Luton Airport in 2024.
The My Lounge (ex-Aspire) space will offer a relaxing environment for all types of traveller to relax before they fly. With a capacity of 155 seats, the lounge design is inspired by loft-style living and will offer views of the main terminal. Travellers will also be able to enjoy a self-service pantry with premium beers, wines and spirits.
The No1 Lounge, will have capacity for 70 travellers and offer a more premium experience, in a variety of different seating to emphasise the stylish pre-departure experience with flexibility and choice. Visitors will be able to choose from freshly prepared hot and cold dishes served in buffet style, along with an extensive range of premium beverages available from a fully tended bar.
Work will commence on the No1 Lounge space imminently, with the lounge scheduled to open at the end of the year. My Lounge work will commence at the end of this year and should be ready by summer 2024.
