The 2024 Summer Olympics, officially the games of the XXXIII Olympiad, runs from 26 July to 11 August. If you are into sport blank out the fortnight in your diary.
Over the next few months airlines will be finalising their schedules to cover the games.
Literally jumping in first is Qantas, who will commence operating a non-stop service between Perth Airport and Paris Charles de Gaulle 12 July just before the games start. Qantas will initially operate the new flights four times a week using a Boeing Dreamliner 787.
Paris will be the third European destination for Qantas, who also operate daily flights from Perth to both London and Rome.
