WestJet and Canada

Calgary-based WestJet is expanding flights into the British Isles for next year.

The airline will introduce a seasonal service from Halifax to Edinburgh for 2024 (3 weekly, starting 21 June) and return it’s pre-pandemic UK destinations on its other.

Edinburgh will be four times a week to Halifax starting 16 May.

Now back in the programme is Dublin – Halifax (4 weekly), starting 20 June), Dublin – Toronto (daily, starting 2 March), Edinburgh – Toronto (daily, starting 15 May) and Gatwick – Halifax (4 weekly, starting 29 April) plus St Johns (3 weekly, starting 1 May).

All the Canadian East Coast are operated by Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft with 12 Premium Economy, the middle seat set up as a table, and 162 Economy seats.

From Calgary all flights are by three-class Boeing 787 Dreamliners to Dublin (5 weekly), Edinburgh (4 weekly) and Heathrow (daily).  From Canada’s West Coast the airline also serves Barcelona, Paris and Rome.
