This facility is an extension of the usual dietary / special meals that you can order when you log into Manage My Booking (as with most airlines). The great advantage is a far greater selection than is usually available on board, particularly in the Economy classes. But don’t worry if you have forgotten what you have ordered. The cabin staff will have details in your Passenger Name Record (PNR). If you change your mind, providing that the aircraft has sufficient cover with meals, that is no problem.
Which flights are eligible for meal pre-ordering? It is available between seven days and 24 hours in advance.
Virgin Atlantic makes it clear that the service is available on all flights departing from Heathrow as well as all inbound services returning to London from the US and Caribbean. It is NOT available when returning from other destinations including Africa and Asia.
