Passengers arriving at Heathrow Terminal 3 in February and expecting the usual easy entrance to the Virgin Upper Class lounge should note that the access route is being remodelled.Until 21 February the drop off, check in and private security channel are open but there is a temporary entrance into the Upper Class Wing from the terminal. Walk to the right past the hoarding covering the original terminal side entrance to the temporary entrance.
From that date onwards customers are advised to use the Terminal 3 departures drop off and check in desks, before being directed to Heathrow Fast Track security on level 1. Until 13 May the private security channel will be closed and customers are advised to continue to use Fast Track security on Level 1.
For eligible Virgin and Delta travellers highly recommended is the private car and taxi drop off (no stretched limos) which can be found up a ramp on the left hand side as you approach the usual drop off point. No booking is needed but your ticket reference (PNR) will be needed.
The T3 Virgin Upper Class Lounge was first opened in 1993 (and many times refurbished) and set standards other airlines have tried to copy. The latest addition is Peloton bikes (with a fabulous runway view) and you can freshen up with a shower afterwards.
