Held in the crypt of St Paul's Cathedral in London, the 19th CWT awards heard that Malcolm Ginsberg, creator and long time Editor-in-Chief of Business Travel News had won a Lifetime Achievement Award, gaining the biggest ovation of the evening. It was all top secret of course and Ginsberg was in Doha for the naming of MSC World Europa.
“The 2022 Business Travel Journalism Awards shine a light on the exemplary standards of journalism upheld within the travel and meetings sphere,” says Julian Walker, CWT’s Head of External Market Communications and PR. “The entrants, short-listers and ultimate category winners this year have again proven the importance of the questions they ask our industry, to ensure it continues to progress and strive for excellence.”
On 1st December Malcolm was presented with the award by Julian Walker, after a jovial lunch joined by Linda Ginsberg and CWT's Amanda Cumine, UK based Head of Public Relations, .
CWT (formerly Carlson Wagonlit Travel) is a travel management company that manages business travel, meetings, incentives, conferencing, exhibitions, and handles event management. Headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the company reported US$23 billion in total transaction volume in 2018. By a strange coincidence CWT has a major office in Potters (The Canada Life Building) near the Ginsberg's previous home.
