The British Business and General Aviation Association (BBGA) Annual Conference and AGM takes place 7 March. Last minute bookings are being taken. Opening the proceedings at 09:30 is Erik Lindbergh whose talk is headlined “The third revolution in aviation. A career in motion”. Lindbergh is the grandson of pioneering aviator Charles Lindbergh who flew solo from New York to Paris in 1927. Lindbergh describes himself as pilot, adventurer, artist and entrepreneur.
Anthony Browne, Aviation Minister, will give a video address from 10:15−10:30. He is followed by Nigel Farminer, Deputy Director of Passenger Policy and Border Transformation, Home Office, who offers a timeline for electronic travel authorisation rollout. Just before lunch Marc Bailey, CEO at BBGA, will take the stage.
After the break a press session features on E-VTOL and Vertiports.
The afternoon presentations include Rob Bishton, once a commercial pilot who joined the CAA in 2014 and has been CEO since October 2023. He will set out his priorities for the UK civil aviation regulator.
What is termed “A Presidential Style Debate” Powering the Future – the Race is On, is from 16:00 for 30 minutes. The day closes with Eric Lithurn, CEO, Elfly Group (Norway), with “The Renaissance of the Seaplane and Amphibious Aircraft. From the fjords and lakes of Norway to the UK and beyond, the role electric-powered seaplanes can play in the drive to net zero”.

Lindbergh does sound interesting. Let us hope he sticks to flying and not politics. And well done with TNU.
