In this day and age of advanced technology it is difficult to keep a secret. Global Airlines has taken to the sky for the first time, as spotted by Flightradar 24.The airline, which plans to operate transatlantic services from London to New York and Los Angeles later this year, currently has two A380s in its fleet and intends to acquire four in total.
Previously flown by China Southern Airlines, the aircraft will be retrofitted with a three-class configuration and can carry up to 470 passengers.
The aircraft took to the skies above Mojave Air and Space Port (MHV) in California on the morning of 15 February. While on its test flight, the aircraft circled twice above the airfield for around 20 minutes, reaching an altitude of 4,300ft.
The Airbus A380 will be operated by Hi Fly Malta and was registered earlier in February as 9H-GLOBL together with 9H-MIP.
The short history of Global Airlines can be found by a search in TNU.
