Head for Points has produced a fine review of British Airways' revised activities at Gatwick. During the peak of the pandemic there was talk of the airline walking away from the South London airport. This is a summary of the detailed article by Rhys Jones.
BA has two operations at Gatwick South. One is termed “long haul”, an extension of the Heathrow operation with 12 dedicated Boeing 777 featuring a three-class configuration, with Club World (business class), World Traveller Plus (premium economy) and World Traveller (economy). Routes include Accra, Mauritius, New York, Orlando, Tampa (Florida) and Vancouver (summer season) and various Caribbean destinations. The focus is very much on holiday traffic.
BA EuroFlyer serves 38 European destinations this summer. It is run by Tom Stoddard, who also looks after BA CityFlyer at London City Airport, but for all intents and purposes both are seen by the public as BA.
Back is Jersey for the summer season on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
The airline provides a bag drop of service the previous evening between 18:00 and 21:00, ideal if you are night-stopping before taking your flight. Turn left once in the terminal for the BA lounges which are situated on the mezzanine floor.
