New CEO for Loganair

Luke Farajallah is the new boss of “Scotland’s Airline”. He succeeds Jonathan Hinkles who has stood down.

Luke has extensive experience in the UK regional airline sector, holding senior roles at Flybe, BA CityExpress and Brymon Airways. He also made significant contributions while in roles at easyJet and Wizz. Beyond the airline industry, Luke has worked in the onshore and offshore rotary sectors as CEO of Specialist Aviation, and Managing Director of Bond Offshore Helicopters, which at the time was under the same ownership as Loganair.

Peter Simpson, Executive Chairman, Loganair, said: “We are pleased to welcome Luke Farajallah to Loganair as our new Chief Executive Officer. His commitment to operational excellence and resilience aligns perfectly with our mission to continually improve the services we offer to our valued customers.”

At the same time the airline has confirmed changes to its Heathrow operation.

There will be a third weekly one-stop flight to Sumburgh in the Shetland Islands (Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday), a second Saturday service to the Isle of Man, and a third Sunday flight to Derry.

Loganair says it has also improved the timings of its Derry and Isle of Man routes, with the afternoon service from Derry departing at lunchtime, opening up more connection possibilities at Heathrow.

The evening Heathrow-bound service will now depart 40 minutes earlier at 17:30, and the final flight of the day from Heathrow will leave at 19:45 and arrive in Derry at 21:10.

Meanwhile the carrier’s Isle of Man – Heathrow service will now depart at 09:45 and arrive in London at 11:20, again allowing for connections onto flights to destinations including Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Seattle and Vancouver.

The second Isle of Man – Heathrow frequency will operate in the afternoon to give customers more choice.
