Loganair promotes itself as the UK’s largest regional airline, but at Heathrow it is probably the smallest, and is based at Terminal 2. It operates what it terms is “game-changer” routes from some of the UK’s most remote communities to connect with an array of worldwide destinations. The airline offers a three times daily service from City of Derry, a two times daily weekday service from Dundee, with one flight on Sundays, and a twice weekly summer service from Orkney and Shetland via Dundee. This summer additional weekend services have been added to the popular Isle of Man to Heathrow service.
Through Loganair’s variety of codeshare and interline agreements, customers are able to easily connect through Heathrow to over 90 destinations across the globe including New York, Singapore and Tokyo. The only catch is that currently Loganair uses T2, which is fine for changing on to airlines in that terminal, and even T3, but very complicated to and from the main British Airways hub at T5.
