Private terminal at Manchester Airport

Bound to be a success with the wealthy local football fraternity needing to catch flights to global soccer centres, both administrative and playing, Manchester Airport will welcome “aether” in November, a very much up-market concept claimed to redefine the airport experience.

Passengers arrive landside, quickly go through formalities, and if boarding is available whisked by the all-electric BMW i7, the seven-seater BMW X7 or luxury performance BMW XM, to the actual aircraft steps.

It will be open to all travellers as a purchasable service.

Positioned in a contemporary, self-contained, private space, completely away from the main airport terminal, aether claims to elevate every sense of the airport journey, even the functional, including check-in, security and private parking.  Designed with meticulous attention to detail, aether boasts a curated menu, panoramic runway views, and dedicated staff attending to guests’ needs.

The launch of aether is in collaboration with Adam Reid, the award-winning and renowned Manchester-born chef.

Starting from £90 per person and as part of a tiered offering, there are two packages to choose from.  ‘Express’ for those with just cabin bags, provides access to go straight through the private terminal and reach their gate with ease. ‘Inclusive’ for those with either cabin or checked bags can be used on either departure or arrival and allows guests to enjoy the full offering. Guests can also bring along non-travellers to enjoy the experience and wave them off before their flight, which is subject to availability and at an additional cost.

It's off Wilmslow Road, close by the Visitor Park and replaces the previous Premiair lounge.

Reservations have already opened for passengers to use the private terminal from Monday, 4 November 2024.
