British Airways is returning to Bermuda on a daily basis. There are presently no direct air services from the UK, travel planning website OAG recommending a nearly 17-hour journey time via Miami, although there are other US alternatives.
Flights from Heathrow to L.F. Wade International Airport (BDA) will be introduced from the start of the summer season at the end of March 2023.
The increased service will be the first daily flight from London to Bermuda since before the pandemic in March 2020, and will allow travellers who want to enjoy a full seven-day island escape to do so without having to cut their holiday short.
Interim CEO at Bermuda Tourism Authority, Tracy Berkeley, stated: “We want to thank British Airways for their confidence in Bermuda as a destination and providing UK visitors with more flexibility and convenience in getting here. Only a seven-hour flight from London, Bermuda really is the nearest faraway place with year-round sunshine, beautiful beaches, authentic experiences and mouth-watering cuisine on offer. We are beyond excited to continue showcasing our special island, inviting UK visitors to feel and experience Bermuda the way we Bermudians do.”
