Article from TNU AUGUST 2024

Amy Johnson, Amelia Earhart and Bessie Coleman. Who were they?

They were all aviation trailblazers.

The RAF Museum is telling their tales in a 45-minute immersive show this August. Designed as a ‘flying’ introduction and suitable for children and adults alike entry to the Hendon site is free, the actual (chargeable) event is in the specially constructed (Marshal of the Royal Air Force) Dermot Boyle theatre.

No mention of the remarkable Beryl Markham, first person to fly the Atlantic solo, east to west. Perhaps her imperial connections are a bit un-woke in this day and age.
