Emirates (EK) is to return to Edinburgh and with its well-established Glasgow operation is the only long-haul carrier to offer services from both Scottish airports. The 4 November has been set for the introduction of a daily Airbus A350-900 aircraft in a three-class configuration, with 32 lie-flat seats in Business Class, 21 in Premium Economy and 259 in Economy Class. Eligible customers can make use of an Addison Lee chauffeur service to and from their origination point.
The A350 is EK’s newest aircraft and will enter service to a number of destinations this autumn. At Edinburgh customers can look forward to experiencing the airline’s highly lauded Premium Economy cabin, as well as sample its next generation Business Class service.
Edinburgh is Emirates’ eighth destination in the UK with 133 weekly flights across seven gateways including Gatwick, Heathrow, Stansted, Birmingham, Glasgow, Manchester and Newcastle – utilising a mixed fleet of Airbus A380, Boeing 777 and for the future the A350.
