The consequences of Delta Air Lines and Virgin Atlantic abandoning flights to Israel are very serious. See The Travel News in Brief
(www.travelnewsupdate.co.uk/article/987#Virgin%20Atlantic%20cancels%20Tel%20Aviv).
That a bunch of deranged thugs (look the word up) can bring a country to its knees is beyond thinking, although a comparison with Nazi Germany can be made. 7 October 2023 was also a Day of Infamy.
One suspects that the decision was not made by Virgin Atlantic’s chief, Israeli Shai Weiss, or his boss Richard Branson, but the airline’s owner Delta.
What will Delta Air Lines’ customers in the United States make of the decision? Is the airline likely to be boycotted by North American customers of Jewish heritage, and others too. Delta is the third biggest US air carrier.
No Delta, or Virgin.
There are plenty of alternatives from the US to Tel Aviv. Arkia, American Airlines, Arkia, El AI, JetBlue and United Airlines offer direct United States non-stop to Israel. And you can always go via British Airways at Heathrow, and through other airlines at European cities.
