EasyJet and Northern Ireland

Based at Luton Airport (LTN), easyJet is by far the largest operator in the Six Counties, particularly with the announcement that it will add services from Belfast City Airport to Luton and Manchester this summer. Flights to both destinations will take off on 26 June and will operate up to four times a week.

Belfast City Airport (BHD), and once known as the Harbour Airport, is just 18 miles along the M2 Motorway from Belfast International Airport (BFS) once known as Aldergrove, and with the exception of Gibraltar the only British scheduled airport with joint military and civil operations. BHS single runway is 1828m and it processed 2.45m travellers in 2019.  For BFS the longest of its runways is 2780m and it moved 6.2m passengers in 2019.

For this summer easyJet will serve Bristol, Glasgow, Liverpool, Gatwick and as noted Luton and Manchester airports from the George Best airport with the smaller A319 aircraft.
