Airlines UK has an amazing line-up

One of the most notable gatherings of UK air travel senior personage in recent times takes place on 21 November in Westminster, London.

This definitive event for the UK aviation industry was launched in 2019 by Airlines UK, BAR UK and IATA UK, alongside FlightGlobal. This year Airlines 2022 will be addressing whether aviation is recognised as a strategic asset to the UK as well as ongoing issues, challenges and solutions for the airline sector as recovery ramps up.

Here is the full agenda (subject to change)

09:00 – 09:15  A welcome from Patrick McLoughlin, Chair of Airlines UK and Simon Calder, Travel Correspondent of The Independent.

09:15 – 10:00  The opening keynote speaker is Shai Weiss, Chief Executive Officer of Virgin Atlantic, who will set out his vision and view on the vital role that the sector plays in the UK’s future economic prospects, with Simon Calder as moderator.

10:00 – 10:45  Shaping the future of UK aviation policy

13:30 – 14:00  Now back at the Department for Transport, Aviation Minister Baroness (Charlotte) Vere will deliver an address followed by an interview on the UK Government’s strategic framework for aviation with Peggy Hollinger of the Financial Times as moderator.

14:00 – 15:00  Bringing forward carbon reduction over the next 10 years

A panel of senior industry leaders round off the day with their insights on how to implement the key strategies and policies needed to deliver the Government’s strategic framework for aviation.
