Change of government and change of identity.
The Airport Operators Association has become AirportsUK. Airports UK represents the views of over 50 UK airports to Government, Parliament and regulators to secure policy outcomes that help deliver its mission.
Commenting on the name change and new logo, Karen Dee, Chief Executive, AirportsUK, said: “We are delighted to be able [to] unveil this new brand, which is something the whole organisation and our membership are excited to be a part of. It comes at a time when airports and aviation more generally are working hard to deliver sustainable growth, to reduce their impacts on communities and to be seen as the positive drivers of economic prosperity they are.
“We hope that people will see that in our new logo and name, that airports are facing the future, and contributing to all our lives in a clear, optimistic way”.
At the same time, Airports UK is also launching a new, up-to-date website with the new logo and a more modern look, which is easier to navigate. This will play a key role in communicating all the work Airports UK is undertaking on behalf of its membership and to the public, to deliver a stable, sustainable and affordable aviation sector.
On 5 September the Autumn edition of The Airport Operator is published. New name, new image.
